So I don't have any new pictures to add to tonight's blog, (will add some tomorrow or this weekend) but I wanted to share my night with you guys because it was so great. My friend Andy and I went to buy flowers today after work. I bought enough to fill my new flower pots, and he bought some to replenish stuff that didn't make it through the winter in his yard. When I got home, I started planting right away. As I planted, the neighborhood kids sped around on their bikes and played funny games (one was called "Witch Teacher at School"...It was hysterical.) The Boy brought me dinner outside and we sat together on the bench on our little front porch while I ate dinner off of Gram and Gramp's TV trays. We watched the kids play and caught up on each other's days. After dinner, the kids were being called home for the night... they sped off in different directions (two little girls wait for their dad to whistle, and they go home as soon as they hear it) After I finished eating, I watered my pots, and sat under the tree in the front yard to admire them. I was lucky enough to be outside to see a HUGE humming bird moth visit my new flowers. He buzzed around for awhile, and I stayed outside until he left.
It felt like I was in the neighborhood I grew up in... all of the kids playing outside, being called in when it got dark outside... I can not believe how much it feels like home. It took us awhile to get here, but we are blessed. It was funny to be the grown up person in the neighborhood. Not the one roller skating and drawing with chalk on the street... It's nice to re-live those memories. I sat on the lawn underneath our tree and for a moment felt like I was 7 again. Just happy, warm and loved....living in the best place ever.

Spring Lovetime to yous guys!
You deserve it all, girl! Can't wait to see your flower pots!
This is the kind of neighborhood i grew up in as well. You had to listen for mom's yell for supper- if you didn't respond to that, you would hear dad's, and knew you were in trouble. Oh man, would you peddle fast then!
oops, forgot to put my name... That last one was me, Laurie :)
