Justin's dad Paul came out for Thanksgiving this year. Justin and I were both fortunate to have the day before Thanksgiving off, so we took PK on a scenic drive. We went all along Lookout Mountain Road and ended up at Buffalo Bill's grave.
Just one of the views on Lookout Mtn. Rd.
The fellas above and well, there is the grave!
We ended up in downtown Evergreen where we had breakfast at one of my favorite places... The Wildflower Cafe... so delicious.
Had to stop and watch the ducks in the little river nearby.
A quick snapshot of downtown.
Off to Red Rocks!
Here is the crew.
Great views. Paul was amazed.
Good pic of the boys at Red Rocks.
I like this picture because the empty seating looks cool behind them.
The following pictures were taken on Thanksgiving day. It was about 75 degrees out, so we went for a walk while dinner was in the final stages in the oven. We walked up to a local park where you can see for miles. It's at the top of a hill, and you can see everything.
Here's Justin pointing stuff out to his dad.
I love the way the mountains look just looming above the houses.... humbling.
Here we are on a park bench posing for the camera. :)
Back at the ranch and prepping dinner.
Getting the potatoes ready....
The mister always cleaning up after me!
Happy Thanksgiving....now get out of my face!
Turned out to be a very relaxing day for all. Later on our neighbors came by for some apple crisp and a chin wag. :)
