I see a deck in our near future......

Once upon a time, there was a horrible backyard filled with rocks.......

Anyone who desired a broken or twisted ankle would visit the backyard and surely their desire would be fulfilled.

Until one day, two crazy Portuguese decided to torture their friends and neighbors and ask them to help remove tons and tons of Godforsaken river rock. After much sweating and swearing... the river rock was gone (insert chime noise).

The two crazy Portuguese were left with a filthy clay filled back yard.... The only logical step was to hire a lazy and sneaky landscape crew to build a retaining wall incorrectly and then have them tear it down and start again....... and that is exactly what the two Portuguese did.

After much falderal (thanks for the word Meggy), the landscape crew was finished.... The two Portuguese were never so happy to see anyone leave their property (Jehovah's Witness Crews included)

The two Portuguese were happy.... looking out at their half finished backyard.... It was so much nicer than all of that terrible rock.....

......and there was now grass and lights.... but something was missing.....

... A DECK!!....So the Portuguese carpenter set to work.... digging horrible trenches with weird machines, filling hole with concrete, and torturing the neighbors and his wife with manual labor. (He did buy us all pizza, which seemed to be a pretty big hit... I know that I liked it)

The crafty Portuguese carpenter worked tirelessly, taking his occasional crankiness out on the help.... The neighbors defeated the concrete, lawn carpet, and river rock without fear....

...and before you know it, there was 5 tons of pea gravel in the yard, and the main beams were popped into place!

This is where I will stop for today.... the neighbors will be in our backyard soon... ready to build!

Thank you to our two most mighty.... Katie and Dubya!
