Gunnison, Telluride, Ouray, and Dillon

King and I took a little Colorado vacation recently and it went something like this...
Blue Mesa Reservoir in Gunnison! Trina's first trip there!

This is Trina rolling in something stinky, which later caused her to participate in her very first shower.... no tub in the hotel room...

I love Gunnison.... seriously beautiful...

Look at those colors!

Our first view of Telluride... Hippy dippy town, but fun to visit for sure.

The San Juans.... so beautiful.

Red rocks on our way...

View from the gondola.... looking over Telluride...

Trina having a panic attack on the gondola..... oops....

We all made it to the top though!... not that Trina enjoyed the ride back down....

Overlooking Telluride.

Telluride from way up high!

Bridal Veil Falls in Telluride

King-o-the mountain!

Old mining stuff near Bridal Veil Falls.... way cool...we had to get closer..

More views of Telluride down below....

The building on top of Bridal Veil Falls.... a little to close to the edge in my opinion.... says the fear of heights girl.....blahhh!!!

Gotta love that Colorado sky...

The dog face at Bridal Veil Falls

That cool old mining stuff up close....

This old tunnel was amazing.... had a freezing cold wind coming out of it and was filled with water...

Old tracks....

Cool ya?

Downtown Telluride... very cute... favorite stops... Floradora Saloon and Brown Dog Pizza....

Cool old barn in Ouray

Ouray

San Juans... on our way to find ghost towns!

On our way...

We visited a few ghost town areas... they were really cool. Funny to think of, or imagine people doing their thang in these little towns.

Not sure if this was a church... it was the only white building out of all of them and it was much more fancy.

The water is orange here due to all of the mining tailings and the iron in the water.

We found a little road (CR31) that allowed us to see some old abandoned mining stuff...

This was our view from the road... later we took the dirt road right up to this!

Can you believe this view??

Found a friend on our dirt road 4WD adventure...

Old mine....

Old mining cave...

House near the mining equipment

On top of old tracks!

A dirty Jeep on a trail is a happy Jeep.

I loved the reflection in this puddle.

I love the dog in this Jeep.

A little info for ya!

Friends on our way back to Telluride.

From here we took off to Grand Junction, but we didn't really dig it, so headed for Dillon....

Miss freshy in Lake Dillon trying to get the geese...

Hot diggity-dog!

Making friends!

Staring down those geese again.

Taking a break.

So beautiful...

Such a great trip....and all right here in our beautiful state.
