The Portuguese Invaision

My cousins Josh and Lauren came out to visit me last week and stayed through the weekend. It was a short trip, but we sure crammed in as much great Colorado stuff as possible... and I was happy to know that at least 3 Portuguese people were in Colorado at one time!

Here are Josh and Lauren at the Boulder Res. We went out to Boulder on Saturday (the 12th) and hung out a little.Here I am with Lauren(top) and with Josh (below).After stopping on Pearl St. for some lunch at Lindsay's Boulder Deli, we headed up Flagstaff Rd. for some sight seeing. Josh and Lauren loved it. Josh was amazed, which I loved...because I am still amazed even through I have been out here for 2.5 years...There are lots of nice stops as you head up Flagstaff Rd. Here is Lauren looking very small in the big big world! My cute cousin! What a view....ask Josh, it really does exist! We got to see some deer on our way back down Flagstaff...beautiful.Later on that night, we went to see The Colorado Mammoth Lacrosse team play at the Pepsi Center. Of course the Marsh fam got us all tickets for Steve's company suite, so we got to watch the game in style. (Thank you pimp Daddy Marsh!)It was great to be able to show Josh and La some mountains and then so much fun to bring them into the city for the game. Mammoth won...and we all relaxed in our puffy chairs!A trip to Colorado would not be complete without a visit to the Marsh house. We headed over there on Sunday to watch some football (The Cowboys played like crap and lost). But we did all manage to take a nap and then play Nintendo Wii...in which Riley kicked our butts. (especially Zach). Lauren creamed everyone at Wii Bowling despite her hatred for "bending". Riley really hit it off with Josh and Lauren and Steve invited them to move in...we are all family! Here are Josh and Steve in the middle of their tennis play offs.... someone lost money on this game...Here is the picture we emailed back to Josh and Lauren's parent (Uncle Den and Aunt Jude). We all thought it would be funny to make it look like Lauren was living it up on her vacation...so we scattered booze all over her and took some snap shots! My little cousin is all grown up!
Josh and Lauren headed off to Winter Park to snowboard on Monday and came home tired. (must have been all of the bending La!)We hung out, ate lasagna, and watched a movie. It was sad to see them go on Tuesday, but I feel like they packed a lot of great things in for an authentic Colorado visit! I still haven't taken their room apart yet...I'm a sap. I MISS YOU TWO!!!

It was a great visit because I got to have Josh and Lauren all to myself for days on end. We had a great time catching up and just hanging out. I love my cousins. It's funny that we are all so big now....
