The Bird Sanctuary

So after the bunny died, I was feeling sort of woodland creature-less. So I decided that I needed to attract everything with the bird flu or plague to my house and enjoy them (from my kitchen window). So much to my husband's surprise, he bought me (joint credit card) a great bird feeder and also the ingredients to assemble to most Portuguese bird bath in Colorado. It took forever for the birds to understand that they could eat out of the bird feeder, but now I have a bunch of customers! Here is one of my first! Below is a finchy friend standing on the bamboo stake that holds my tomato plant up.

Here's a view of the sanctuary... note the bird-bath... I am just laughing while I type! The birds love it though!
Here are two of the types of Rose of Sharon bushes in the front of my house.
That's that! It makes me feel happy to have little critters come and visit. Something about it fills my silly heart....

If you were a cartoon character, you would be Snow White, singing in the woods while little birds come to sit on your shoulder and tweet along and bunnies and deer come up to gather at your feet. Seriously. You may be St. Francis of Assisi reincarnated. I heart you!
