Visiting the Mcgann Fam

Saturday evening Justin and I took a ride out to Avon Co to visit the Mcganns. (Avon is just beyond Vail). We stopped off in one of our favorite little towns named Frisco, had some lunch walked around a little (very little, it was freezing!) and headed off to Al and Jims. We had a great visit...yummy dinner, good company, silly little woogie man to keep us entertained... We crashed at their pad, and went for breakfast in the morning. It was nice to be able to spend time with my Mcganns, and have them all to ourselves. Me and Al and Me and Ian.
The drive to Al and Jim's only takes about an hour and 45 minutes under normal conditions, but the ride home took us close to 9 hours because we got caught up in a crazy snowstorm... the roads kept disappearing in front of us and the highway was littered with 2 wheel drive cars (hello...you live in Colorado!!) who couldn't retain there traction...

According to Allison, we just squeaked by. They shut I-70 down for the night and were forcing motorists to stay in temporary shelters... It was pretty serious... below see the picture that made us crack up in the middle of the madness...someone who was bored in traffic drew a series of different dongs in the snowbanks along side the highway... I took a picture to show you all, because it made me laugh so much....

Anyway, we are home safe...THANK GOD! It was worth it to spend time with good friends and that beautiful little boy!
