The Butterfly Pavilion

I have been taking some classes this summer to work on earning credits towards the renewal of my teaching license. The classes I have enjoyed most are the ones I have taken at the butterfly pavilion in Westminster. Here are some pictures that I took this week during my course. We looked at all sorts of cool bugs and made some bug centered art projects.
I love these flowers. They are called Blanket Flowers...check out the bee below...
I love this picture of the lady bug on the grass. Check out the aphids to the right.... lady bug feast. I am pretty impressed that my camera will let me take such close up pictures.
Yay for butterflies! We got to go into the pavilion to see them before the place opened. It was nice to have the whole place to ourselves.
Here is a picture of the cactus that I leaned on...had to pick spike out of my knee all day long!
I have another art/science class at the pavilion tomorrow. Love it!!!!
