Ridin Bikes and Livin Life...

So Justin and I found this great spot to ride our bikes.... so we went on a journey. Turns out, that there is a really cool fairground/park nearby our house. We went to drop off our used motor oil at the waste drop off spot and headed into the park with our bikes in tow. We biked around two lakes and saw lots of cool things.... Here is JP stopped near the edge of this big ol' river taking a drink. 

Here is a picture of the river on the other side of the lake. We didn't even know it was there until we started riding along the bike path! We spotted a pelican flying over head. It was very cool to see that big guy flying around. 
Here is a little lizard that was sneaking around near the edge of the river. I guess I didn't realize that we had these little fellas out here. Pretty neat looking though. We saw a ton as we were riding bikes.
This was the most amazing discovery. I thought this giant turtle was a rock.... I skidded to a stop when I realized that it was a daddy mac turtle! Isn't he amazing? Justin and I watched him for a long time. I was so happy and amazed that it brought me to tears...I know I am a dork, but sometimes I am overwhelmed with the beauty out here... can't believe how blessed we are to get to see these amazing things...God is a pretty amazing artist.
Here is a neat looking spiky flower that was near the pond the turtle was hanging out in. I like the way the sky looks behind it. 

After our bike ride, we ate some sandwiches and watched the creatures for awhile. I got to see lots of fish jumping, but Justin missed them every time. He was like a little kid on his bike... being here has really brought him to life.... I know that the 2 car garage has something to do with it, but he sure is happy. It's nice to see. :) Yay.
