We were lucky enough to have the whole crew in town on the same night that Dave's band played in Denver.... So we went off to 3 Kings Tavern to watch them play. Here I am with Dave... He likes to look serious, but he actually does smile.
Here are the fellas playing!
Did you honestly think that the kids would make it out of here without being dragged to Casa Bonita?
Here they are standing in line... sort of confused about what is going on.... waiting for their gross food!
We ate some great breakfast at Annie's Cafe... and admired the domed goodness... I took this picture for Pauly Reinhardt (Tall Paul) who was very interested in finding a diner with a domed pie.... I know this isn't exactly a domed pie, but there was a pie...and a dome... so we called it good.
Me, Tall Paul and Laure at Annie's waiting for our grub!
Kerry and Small Paul at Annie's. I was glad to get the kids over to Annie's before their big move. They moved from 8th and Colorado over to Colfax just west of Colorado Blvd. I was glad the kids got to see the original place.
We made our way through Idaho Springs on our way up to our rented palace in Winter Park. From the left we have Jane, Jay, Tall Paul, Small Paul, Laurie, Me, and Kerry. This is a great coffee shop in the middle of town.
Here is Jay in the front of the rented "cabin". Please enjoy the classic Jay Babon face in this photo.... textbook.
Ah, the hats are back.... chillin out at the cabin on the side porch....
The kids went horse back riding for some Western type activity... I had to skip it because horses make me sneeze and wheeze.... but they said it was amazing.
My city slicker friend Pauly waving his cap around!
I made a lasagna for the kids and we ate a big feast.
That's right, more hats! We wore them in the hot tub that night and looked like a bunch of pimps.... It was pretty hysterical to look around the hot tub and see a bunch of jackasses wearing pimp cowboy hats!
We made lots of breakfast.... Here are Paul and JP King cleaning up after Small Paul made waffles... It was a mess of epic proportions!
Here's small Paul slathered in waffle batter!
The picture below is the whole gang on the steps of the cabin just before hitting the road. We stayed for three nights.
We took a journey in the mini-van and drove into a snowbank....
We went out walking near a stream...

After all of the wilderness adventures, we headed off to the hot sulphur springs for a horrible and stinky experience of soaking in gross water with floaty things in it.... People had carved their names in the filth on the side of the tubs and we all went home smelling like poop. It was a smell that I woke up tasting the next day....yuck is really the only thing I have to say.... that, and PLEASE NEVER GO! YOU WILL SMELL TERRIBLE!
Ah, the hats are back.... chillin out at the cabin on the side porch....
On a brighter note, we bought some kick ass cowboy hats..... they didn't smell anything like poop....
...and went to Red Rocks to have a look around.
...and let's not forget the splits..... there were some splits involved in our trip.
By the end of it all, we were pretty tired. Below, is a picture of the elusive Paul Cintolo... It is rare to see him sleep. This is the second time I have seen it in 13 years.....
Here are the kids hanging out back at the house.... We hunkered down and ate some chili and cornbread.... and finally rested.

Thanks for coming out kids! I sure love ya.
