Bird House Mania!

I took a little bike ride over the weekend and enjoyed just riding around all over the cute Denver neighborhoods. My objective (uggg...teacher talk) was to go buy more cat food for Mazie at a natural pet food store named Ciji's. I usually bike over there at least once a month to replenish my stack of cat food cans. I also grab a coffee at a cute little coffee shop near Ciji's, sit on the bench outside, and people watch. It is so nice to get out and ride around, sit on a bench underneath the big blue sky, and just watch families stroll by.
One of my favorite parts of the bike ride is a neat little house along the way. The people who live there are apparently obsessed with birdhouses. They have about 50 of them hanging in the two trees in front of their house. Normally I would consider this to be a fatal Portuguese mistake, but in this case, it looks really cool. Perhaps I have the Portuguese goggles on, but I really love the whole idea. Here are some pictures I took on my way home.
I love the apple bird feeder....

Here is the playground in front of the coffee shop. Families stop by for some java and play time. It is pretty hoppin on the weekends.

I love this. If there were only like 10 birdhouses, it would be eccentricity, or maybe tacky. But with 50, its cute and artsy! How fun!

This gives me an idea for that area in my back yard that I will set up as a bird sanctuary. What do you think??? Actually we'll see I have my own ideas.
