Inspiration comes in many forms....
Here are some pictures I took while Pauly C. was out visiting in August. During our trip up Mt. Evans, we saw lots of neat looking trees with excellent lines and textures... So we took pictures. I thought it would give me some cool ideas for art.

Below is the unfinished picture that I was inspired to make. I am still thinking on a color pallet, and have gotten great suggestions, but am just going to think on it a little more.
Below is a re-make of a picture I made for Allison and Jim when they moved back to Colorado from Massachusetts. I thought it would be cool to have one that says "Colorado". The original that I made for Al and Jim said "Home".

It made me smile to see "my picture" on your posting! it's hanging in ian's room and i look at it every day. not to be totally boring...but i like the drawing you did in black and white. to me it looks finished and different from your other work. if you did color it...many shades of brown or gray would be very mysterious but also natural. holy two-cents!!
The tree-line inspired picture also reminds me of the eye of the feathers on the peacocks we saw at the zoo!
